These terms apply to the first review of your case booked and paid online. They constitute the fee agreement for this service only (article 10 of French law no. 71-1130 of 31 December 1971). Any further work is covered by a separate fee agreement.
The service
Walid Chamkhi reads the documents you send him, then meets you for a 45-minute consultation by video, by phone or at the office (37 rue Félix Lemoine, 44300 Nantes), as chosen when booking. During this meeting you receive a first review of your case and the strategy to adopt. The consultation is oral: it does not include a written opinion.
Fees
Fixed fee of €100 excl. VAT, i.e. €120 incl. VAT (20%), paid online when booking, by card or another method offered on the payment page. Payment is processed by Stripe; the firm never has access to your bank details. An invoice is sent to you by email. This amount is deducted from the fees if you then instruct the firm.
Your documents
Send your documents before the appointment to contact@cabinet-chamkhi.com. They are covered by professional secrecy.
Conflicts of interest
The name of the other party, requested when booking, allows the firm to check that it can advise you. If there is a conflict of interest, the appointment is cancelled and the amount refunded in full.
Cancellation and rescheduling
- Up to 24 hours before the appointment, you can cancel it for a full refund, or reschedule it, using the link in the confirmation email.
- Less than 24 hours before the appointment, or if you do not attend, the fixed fee remains due. One rescheduling may nevertheless be granted on request.
- If the firm has to cancel, you are offered a new slot or a full refund, as you prefer.
Right of withdrawal
If you are acting as a consumer, you have fourteen days from booking to withdraw, without giving reasons, by a simple email to contact@cabinet-chamkhi.com (articles L. 221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). The refund is made within fourteen days. Where the consultation takes place before the end of this period, you expressly request, when booking, that it take place before the period expires, and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the consultation has been carried out (article L. 221-28, 1°).
Complaints
Any dispute about fees may be referred to the President of the Nantes Bar (bâtonnier). Consumer clients may also refer the matter free of charge to the national consumer mediator for the legal profession.
